Our History
Since the 17th century, Fortune Green has been at the heart of our community. Once a site for local fairs and grazing, it transformed over the centuries into the beloved park we cherish today. The Friends of Fortune Green was established to preserve this vital green lung for future generations, ensuring its stories and natural beauty remain a central part of West Hampstead life.

Fortune Green is an open green space of grass, trees and flowers on Fortune Green Road, West Hampstead — about 10 minutes' walk from West Hampstead station (Tube, Overground, Thameslink), served by the 139 and 328 bus routes.
